any compatible third-party software (such
as reporting or analysis tools) on top
of their TimeCentre system, making it
possible to customize the system themselves
if they so choose. Many of our reseller
partners have used our architecture as
a baseline and extended the base functionality
to meet the needs of their specific client
base. Many of these product extensions
have made it back into the TimeCentre
core product.
• Scalability –
TimeCentre’s modular architecture
makes distributed processing possible.
The application, business rule and database
services can be configured to run on separate
physical hardware or can all be running
on the same machine concurrently. The
system can also be configured to use replication
and/or log-shipping technology to populate
separate reporting/analysis databases
in high-transaction environments or to
support different disaster recovery scenarios.
• Support for many data
collection devices – TimeCentre
supports a multitude of data collection
devices to ensure we meet all of our customer’s
varied needs. We support many hardware
devices (Verifone, ATS, RSI, Mobility,
PDA) and have very strong relationships
with the manufacturers that allow us to
more easily customize them to support
individual client needs. Many of these
devices can also be configured to work
wirelessly. We also have several software-based
data collection solutions (PC TimeClock,
NETimeClock, NETimeSheet) that clients
can use for employees (both hourly and
salaried) with PC access.
• Leading edge technology
– TimeCentre invests heavily
in ongoing research and development and
is constantly evaluating new technologies
to meet changing client needs. TimeCentre
is leveraging the power of Microsoft’s
.Net® framework as well as utilizing
the latest XML standards and web services
technologies in our products. This will
enhance our ability to integrate with
other systems throughout a client’s
enterprise. Furthermore, we are researching
additional data collection capabilities
to incorporate touch screens, cellular
technology and advanced biometric devices.
